VIVA EUROPA

VIVA EUROPA is a pan-European cultural initiative consisting of the simultaneous projection on big screens of a live opera performance from the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía in Valencia, Spain. The broadcast takes place in participating cities across Europe. Every year on a June evening the general public is invited to participate for free in this very special event that celebrates togetherness all over the continent.

VIVA EUROPA has been associated with the activities of the European Years since its first edition in 2009 and has been held under the patronage of the European Commissioner responsible for each Year.

VIVA EUROPA has received extensive media coverage in previous editions, with hundreds of mentions in press, radio, television and the internet.
